Applications for the 2026 Summer Youth Employment
Program are now being accepted!
The Niagara County Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides county residents aged 14–20 with a valuable bridge between education and the workforce. By combining subsidized work placements with professional development, the program empowers participants to cultivate market-ready skills and explore various career sectors within a positive and professional framework.

- Request by Phone: Call (716) 278-8233 to have one sent to you.

All completed applications and required documents must be returned to NCET by May 31st, 2026.

- Mon – Thu: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Fri: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
- (Note: Closed daily for lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm)
- Applicant Checklist (Required Documents)
Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Please ensure all of the following are included with your submission:
- Completed Application: Signed by the student and a parent/guardian (if under 18).
- Proof of Age: Copy of Birth Certificate or Photo ID (if over 18).
- Social Security Card: A copy of your signed Social Security card.
- Working Papers (if under 18):
- Blue Card(Ages 14–15)
- Green Card(Ages 16–17)
- Educational Records: Your most recent report card (must show attendance).
- Proof of Income: Documentation showing TANF eligibility (e.g., benefit summary or family pay stubs).
Program Goals
Through this program, we strive to help young people:
- Earn money and gain meaningful work experience.
- Learn and develop the skills, attitudes, and commitment necessary to succeed in today’s workforce.
- Gain exposure to various career industries.
- Interact with dynamic professionals in a supportive environment.
This program is funded by a New York State Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) grant.
