Picture This:  Niagara County Community Health Photo Album

What does health look like to YOU? As part of Niagara County’s Community Health Assessment (CHA) 2025-27, the Niagara County Department of Health wants to find out.

So, we're inviting Niagara County residents to submit photos to our community-wide photo album through Friday, May 23.

Here's how it works:

Take Your PHOTOS

Walk around your neighborhood or community where you spend time. Think about your typical day. Where do you go, who do you see, and what impacts your health and wellness?

  • What makes our community healthy?
  • What are you most proud of in our community?
  • What would most improve the quality of life in our community?
  • What is most important to you in your community?
  • What are the greatest strengths of Niagara County?
  • What does wellness/well-being mean to you?
  • What do you think hurts your health in your community?

SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS

There will be several ways people can submit photos. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, May 23.

1. Social Media. Direct message photo(s) privately to us via:

2. Email photo(s) to: nchealth@niagaracounty.gov. Please note that, depending on the size of your images, you may have to send multiple emails.

Please include a brief caption describing your photo, the location, and how this photo depicts health and wellness.

Disclaimer:  By emailing my photographs to nchealth@niagaracounty.gov or submitting them on social media, I hereby consent to the use of my photographs by the Niagara County Department of Health. If I submit a caption, I recognize that the Niagara County Department of Health may or may not use it in connection with these photographs. Photographs will be listed anonymously unless I include my name in the descriptions for attribution (NCDOH will not list your social media handle if submitted through social). My email or social media submission signals my consent to these terms. Photographs with identifiable individuals (i.e. containing persons' faces) will not be used and will not be publicly disseminated by the Niagara County Department of Health

Rules

  • Respect other peoples’ privacies. Do not include faces in your photos
  • Provide accurate depictions – no false lights of others!
  • Make sure you are safe when capturing images of Niagara County – do not walk out into traffic or hang off ledges!
  • Have fun! This is a great activity with friends and family.

What Happens With the Photos?

  • The NCDOH will analyze the pictures and gather some key takeaways to help inform the Community Health Assessment.
  • Also, the NCDOH may include some images in the final Community Health Assessment report, the Community Health Improvement Plan, and other Niagara County Department of Health communications (website, presentations, social media posts, brochures, etc.)
