PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE:  Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., in the office of the Niagara County Civil Service, 111 Main Street – Suite G2, Lockport, New York 14094 for the purpose of receiving comments pertaining to revising the Niagara County Civil Service Rules Appendices listing exempt, non-competitive, labor, and unclassified positions.

Proposed changes to the Niagara County Appendices.

Niagara County Civil Service Mission Statement

The mission of the Niagara County Civil Service Office shall be to ensure all eligible participants are afforded their rights under Article V, Section 6 of the New York State Constitution, whereby selection for appointment and/or promotion will be based on merit and fitness in a fair and open competitive system that allows for the maximum achievement of each individual within a specified career path of employment.
