Niagara County Youth Bureau to Host 28th Annual Kidz ‘N’ Kites Event

The Niagara County Youth Bureau today announced that the 28th Annual Kidz ‘N’ Kites event will take place on Saturday September 19, 2026. This year’s location the event will return to the Town of Niagara Veteran’s Memorial Park  located at 7000 Lockport Rd. Niagara Falls, NY 14305.

The event will take place from 11:00am - 2:00pm, with first come, first serve registration beginning at 11:00am. The first 500 youth will receive a free kite, t-shirt and hot-dog lunch. The Great Lakes Kitefliers will again provide fantastic backdrop of flying kites and volunteers will be present to help children fly their own. The event is a great opportunity for parents and kids to work together to fly their free kite.

“This is a tremendous community event and I know that many families across the community circle the date on their calendar as a must-do in the fall,” said Youth Bureau Director Ben Bunker.  “I thank our sponsors and volunteers whose generous support ensure this event is completely free for families and open to all.”

Longtime partners Niagara County Sheriff’s Department will be providing Car Seat Safety checks on location, while Niagara PAL will be cooking up the Hot Dog lunches.    Entertainment will be provided by Nels Ross from The UP Guys, who has showcased his juggling magic for over 25 years.
