Niagara County to Hold Outdoor Career Fair at Oppenheim Park

The Niagara County Department of Employment and Training will be holding its final outdoor career fair of 2026 on Wednesday, September 23 at Oppenheim Park.  More than 70 companies with open positions have signed up to take part. 

“The job market has changed, and for many people, finding the right opportunity can be challenging.  At the same time, many employers across our community are looking for talented, hardworking people to join their teams,” said ,” said Niagara County Legislator Jesse Gooch, Chairman of the Community Service Committee and a small business owner whose company has previously participated in the event.  “This career fair is a way to make it easier for job seekers to connect directly with employers who are hiring and for local businesses to find the people they need to grow.”

Donald Jablonksi, Director of Employment and Training, said the event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Oppenheim Park, located at 2713 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield.  No appointment is necessary. 

“For those who are unsure about their job search or a little nervous, know that our WorkSourceOne team is always present at a career fair and ready to help, whether it’s with resume writing and interview prep or identifying training programs or other services that can build skills,” said Jablonski.  “We want every person who attends our career to be able to put their best foot forward as they pursue these opportunities.”
