County Clerks Across WNY Join Together for REAL ID Awareness

Niagara County Clerk Joe Jastrzemski joined with County Clerks from across Western New York at a press conference at Niagara Falls International Airport to remind residents that the federal REAL ID requirements will go into effect on May 7, 2025. The full press conference can be viewed here: https://trms.lctv.net/CablecastPublicSite/show/12697?site=3

The county clerks stressed that residents will need a REAL ID to board any domestic flight, enter a military base and access certain federal facilities. The county clerks said New York’s REAL ID license, Enhanced Driver’s license and a passport all meet the federal requirements. A Nexus card and other DHS trusted traveler cards like Global Entry, SENTRI, and FAST also qualify. Residents still need a passport to fly to other countries.
