Niagara County Announces Upcoming Closure of Hartland Road

The Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced that two sections of Hartland Road in the towns of Somerset and Hartland will be closed be closed to all motorists, except local traffic, beginning Monday, June 9.  Detour signs will be in place to redirects motorists. 

In the Town of Somerset, Hartland Rd will be closed between West Somerset and Haight roads for a bridge replacement over Golden Hill Creek.  This is a fully federally-funded project with a contract amount of $827,607.  The work will be performed by Hunting Valley Construction.

In the Town of Hartland, the closure is at the intersection of Hartland and Ditch roads for a culvert replacement.  This a fully state-funded project with a contract amount of $588,913.  The work will be performed by Malvestuto Contracting.

Both projects are expected to be completed in mid-November.
