Legislature Recognizes 2025 Senior of the Year Carrie Hunt
Carrie Hunt was honored at the June 17th meeting of the Niagara County Legislature as one of our 2025 Senior Citizens of the Year. Carrie, who is 91 years young, has been a volunteer for almost 50 years, faithfully volunteering 30-60 hour a month in the Niagara Falls Meals on Wheels kitchen and is lovingly known as the “sandwich lady.” Carrie is described as pleasant, helpful and always quick to share a joke or story. She is also a huge Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills fan. Carrie is a shining example of how volunteer work keeps you young, active and present in the community. 2025 Senior Citizen of the Year Gerhard “Bud” Beiter was not able to attend the Legislature meeting.
