Niagara County Legislator Andres Announces NT Kids’ Bike Parade
Niagara County Legislator Rich Andres today announced the details for the 8th annual “Fourth of July Kids Bike Parade” that will take place this Friday. The
annual event will kick off at 10:30 from Pine Woods Park (Niagara and Thompson Streets) and head west on Thompson St. The route will end at the Herschel Carousel Museum, 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda. The entire event runs from 10:30-Noon. All are welcome to participate.
Kids can enjoy rides in Kiddieland at the Carousel Museum and ice cream will be served. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers and so on, and wear their most patriotic outfits to celebrate America’s Birthday.
“The Kids’ Bike Parade represents a great slice of Americana and is a tremendous way for families to kick-off their 4th of July festivities,” said Andres, who organizes the parade. “This is our 8th year hosting this event and every year participation gets a little bigger. I’m looking forward to another great turnout and seeing all the bikes decorated in red, white and blue”.
The “Grand Marshall” of this year’s parade will be WWII Veteran William “Bill” Gosch, a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda.
The event is sponsored by Niagara County Legislators Rich Andres, Randy Bradt and Jesse Gooch and North Tonawanda City Officials Mayor Austin Tylec, Clerk Treasurer Donna Braun, City Attorney Ed Zebulske and Aldermen Joe Lavey, Joe Loncar, Bob Schmigel, Frank DiBernardo and Joe Marranca.
