Niagara County Announces Start of Upper Mountain Rehab
The Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced that the rehabilitation of sections of Upper Mountain Rd is scheduled to begin Monday July 7 and run through the end of November. Motorists should expect slight delays during active construction.
The project includes shoulder reconstruction and milling and resurfacing of 1.2 miles of roadway from NY 93 to Sunset Drive. The work also includes repairs to a large culvert and crack filling/sealing of the pavement in half mile stretch from Sunset Drive to the railroad overpass. In addition, while the signal at Sunset Drive will remain as is, the three other traffic signals along the corridor at entrances to the General Motors and Mahle facilities will be permanently removed. The work will be done by EdBauer Construction.
The public is asked to pay close attention to all posted signs and speed limits when driving through the work zones.
