Bergholz Residents Celebrate Reopening of Hunt St. Bridge

Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh joined with local residents and Niagara County DPW staff last Friday for the re-opening of the Hunt St. Bridge in Bergholz.  Ruth Voelker was the first person to drive across the bridge as the barriers were removed.  Ruth was one of several local residents who advocated strongly for replacing the bridge, which had been closed due to structural concerns since 2017.  The new bridge will ensure that buses, snowplows and emergency service vehicles have better access to serving local residents.
