Niagara County Legislator Tony Nemi Announces Relocation of County Health Department to New Stevens Street Facility
Niagara County Legislator Tony Nemi announced the relocation of the Niagara County Department of Health (NCDOH) from its current location in Shaw Office building from 5467 Upper Mountain Road to a new, state-of-the-art facility at 55 Stevens Street, Lockport, NY 14094. The move is effective immediately and marks a significant step forward in enhancing public health services for the community.
“This move has been in the works for a long time and I am very excited that we are nearing completion,” said Niagara County Legislator Tony Nemi, who serves on the Board of Health. “The new location offers a modern, more accessible facility from which we can deliver the important public health services to Niagara County residents.”
This strategic relocation will not interrupt any of the critical public health programs and services currently provided. The main phone line, (716) 439-7430, and business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, will remain the same to ensure a seamless transition for clients and partners.
"This new location represents our continued commitment to providing high-quality, accessible public health services to all residents of Niagara County," said Daniel J. Stapleton, Niagara County Public Health Director. "We are excited about the opportunities this new building presents to expand our capacity and better meet the evolving health needs of our community. We want to assure everyone that the transition will be smooth, with no changes to our services, contact information, or hours of operation."
The Niagara County Department of Health offers a wide range of services, including environmental health, disease prevention, health education, and various clinical programs. The department’s relocation to Stevens Street reinforces its mission to protect and promote the health of all who live, work, and visit Niagara County.
