Niagara County Announces Section of Hartland Road to Reopen Tomorrow
The Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced the section of Hartland Rd between Hartland-Somerset Townline Rd and Ridge Rd (Rte.104) will reopen to traffic tomorrow morning, Thursday August 28. The road had been closed since June for a culvert replacement.
The culvert replacement had a contract amount of $588,913. The work was performed by Malvestuto Contracting.
DPW advised that the Hartland Rd bridge replacement over Golden Hill Creek is still ongoing. As such, Hartland Rd remains closed to motorists, except local traffic, between Lake Rd (Rte 18) and W. Somerset Rd at this time. That project will be completed this fall.
