Ground broken on Polaris Cold Storage Facility

The Niagara County Center for Economic Development joined with the owners of Polaris Cold Storage and local dignitaries to break ground on Polaris’ newPolaris.9.16.25 facility in Sanborn. Polaris, owned by local businessmen Greg Mulvey and Don Timm, is investing $13.5 million to construct an 80,000 square foot cold storage, micro-fulfilment facility in the Vantage Business Park.  The state-of-the-art facility will align with New York’s Climate Act.

The facility will include (5) separate freezer storage areas totaling 32,000 sq. ft., and (4) separate coolers totaling 16,000 sq. ft. of climate controlled space. It will also accommodate clients in need of dry storage options, by reserving 12,000 sq. ft. of space to store dry goods.  The facility is planned to open in Fall of 2026.
